Invincible and Calm ...

Dark and Majestic

He stood at the gates

What is that flashing

Across his pale white face ?

Was it a sense of Victory

Was it unending pain

Was it a deep dilemma ...

Was it a triumphant gain !

As he haltingly stepped inside

The pavement turned to Ice ,

Rainbows turned to Death nooses

And the sun refused to Rise .

Who are you handsome stranger

With a beauty so defyingly deathly ...

Always feared , always hated

But at times so eagerly waited !

His heart froze , his steps faltered

This feeling was a First

What was it about her

To his parched throat brought a thirst !

Her wounds unhealed , trodden upon

Her body broken and weak

Her spirit like an injured bird

Her voice unheard and meek .

His hand gently touched her

It is Time , he said

And as he watched , he was amazed

In those eyes pure joy he read .

What is this fair maiden ?

Is that Joy i see !

Anger , fear and Hatred

Are all that are given to Me !

Tears of joy , filled tired eyes

I have waited Eternally

From this hurtful world of mine

You will bring peace Finally !

Two Lonely Souls stood frozen

Finally a soulmate they cried ...

The maiden had found her saviour Knight

And Death had found his Bride !!!
