Empty spaces within her Heart

Where the lights never touched

Empty spaces within her heart

Were filled with only Tears

Empty spaces within her Heart

Where darkness found its Home

Empty spaces within her Heart

They closed their windows shut

Then something tingled deep inside

The tear stained space within

Twas something small yet very brave

That pushed the despair out.

Slow and scared yet tirelessly

It let the light come in

Patiently and lovingly

It wiped her tears dry.

The tears now watered a budding flower

Growing strong and tall

It's little bud of courage

Pushed out into the light

The spaces, they started filling up

With hope and growing joy

The empty spaces within her heart

Were not empty any more.
