Morning Tears

I woke up, world still spinning,

Mom’s voice — like thunder beginning.

“Have you studied English, Turkish too?

By July, you must — yes, that’s true!”

Tears fell like morning rain,

I cried for joy, I cried for pain.

The universe seemed upside down,

Yet in my chaos, I wore no frown.

Secret whispers, silent cries,

Only I know where the truth lies.

Guest-free, fool-proof, all intact,

Mom’s love and madness — a perfect act.
