left without questions why
The same old rituals
the familiar matters
The same old, mundane conversation
The basic kind of communication
just to fill the silence
with issues unaddressed
unsettled
How long must we keep this charade?
I keep throwing baits
yet you keep ignoring them,
pretending it’s all okay
as long as I don’t have a say...
