The Water World

Ramming Ripples, slamming storms

Apocalypse pervades, no life no forms.

Yet, amidst the hydraulic rage

Tussling hard, Markandeya sage.

Ramshackle, repentance crept in the mind

“Alas! Immortality fetched me the grind”

Bewildered by waters, steered by the waves

For the want of the bliss, the immortal craves.

Dilapidated, in the state of the plight

Saw the sage in waters, a banyan upright.

Sigh of solace coupled with shock

“Ship with 9 exits finds a dock.”

Within no time echoed a voice divine

” I shall protect you oh sage, don’t pine.”

‘ A Toddler!’ beheld the sage amazed

‘Alluring like sapphire’, sage gazed and gazed.

Shade cerulean, physique lovable

Engulfed the sage ,the infant ineffable,

Numerous galaxies,the worlds Infinite

Entailed infant’s anatomy, the universal sight.

Sage perplexed with the visions diverse

Prays to the infant with a reverent verse.

Out goes the sage! via expiration divine

” Hail Narayan ,Hail Lord of mine.

This deed of yours, rendered me mystified

The boon of immortality is hence justified.”
