Monte-Cassino

Monte-Cassino

Written 1944-01-01 - 1944-01-01

Our borders came suddenly,

border posts from all sides ...

Kresowa goes, Carpathian goes

in the smoke of the explosion, in the roar of the battle.

Our borders? ... - you have to look for them

in the rhythm of the kaems, in the crunch of armor.

We already know that, old science

Polish wanderers, Polish soldiers.

Karpacka goes, Kresowa goes,

they are pounding cannons, creaking spandas.

It won't escape us here, it won't hide here

an enemy armed with a perfect weapon.

Kresowa goes, Carpathian goes,

each militantly shaking the machine.

We will find you, though in the dark

in Monte Cassino! In Monte Cassino!

Many of us will fall in beautiful Italy,

we live burials and we count,

then we will go further and further

put up, move the border posts.

Our borders - "While we live",

everywhere where ours are fighting and dying.

We walk angrily, we walk bloody,

our borders in Monte Cassino.
