Life of the less spoken ones
From chaos sprang everything,
Be it life, love, loath or lust
Those experiences decayed their trust,
Reached adolescence, didn't know what to cling.
The question remained wrong
What are you, instead of who are you?
Excitement for the college first day
Vanished into thin air and dismay
From classrooms to washrooms,
From admission till convocation,
Familiarised they were with one thing
Being mocked regularly was part of the surviving.
The question still remained wrong,
What are you, instead of who are you.
Alas! Enjoyed the love at first sight,
Happy they were together and blessed were they,
But, society is full of imbeciles in this era of bits and bytes,
Where should they go
To whom should they say
When the close ones were first to betray.
Still, the question didn't change
What are you, instead of who are you.
Tired of hiding and running they were
"So what we have an extra Y or a X,
Why do you care if we have different sex.
We do feel emotions and have goals to attain,
We can't have offsprings is what remain,
Adoption is always an option
As long as people like you exist
Who have more than they can take care
And cease to resist."
They cried in anguish.
The answer did change the question!
