Hope
Shining star in the twilight sky,
How does my world look from there?
Am sure the beauty fills your heart.
Do you wish that you were here?
It used to be a beautiful place,
With blues and greens and peaceful hues
Oceans, Trees and Waterfalls,
And Mighty mountains, hills and all.
Now it hurts my eye to see
Barren browns and dying blues,
Peaceful greens and whites are gone
and a bleeding Red now seeping through.
Blazing fires and a sharpened axe,
Tearing down her luscious greens.
The waterfalls now seem like tears,
A sign of Doom, thus nature fears.
Birds don't chirp and bees don't hum,
A peaceful tune, the clouds don't drum,
Flowers wither away and die,
Within the blink of a teary eye.
The rainbow is a faded palette,
the sky a smoky battleground
The forest, a pauper has become,
The dancing brooks are now not found.
Amidst this chaos and the cries,
There stands a child with a single seed
All is not lost, this vision so says
All will be well, Hope is all we need.
As long as Innocence flowers here,
The earth must surely know no fear.
The cherubic smile now fills my heart,
But for now, I'd rather be here!
