Life has chosen me
No way love will ever cross a sea
Of sorrows and tragedy
The years are mocking me
Will your darling steal the key
Of a heart that's tired to be
I'm going out today
I'm very excited to go outside
And see you, Grace
I love the walk from my house to yours
It's my favorite stroll
I'm excited to see you and hold you and talk
The sky ignites with golden cheer,
A burst of light that draws us near.
The world is calm, yet hearts take flight,
As moments shimmer, warm and bright.
We chase the glow, our spirits soar,
The moon ascends in quiet grace,
Its glow a gentle hue,
A silver thread that weaves the night,
And draws my thoughts anew.
Its light caresses shadowed lands,
The night is deep, the world so still,
A silence sharp and wide,
Where shadows stretch like whispered ghosts,
And dreams in silence hide.
I walk a path with fleeting steps,
A breeze is dancing through my mind,
With whispers soft, so sweet and kind.
A playful clash of thoughts takes flight,
Where worries fade and hope feels bright.
The sky within is clear and blue,
In the stillness of the night,
When all the world’s asleep,
I find a soft and gentle light,
A song that’s mine to keep.
The world outside is loud and fast,
What have I learned from 2024?
Honesty's still the best policy
although it makes you bleed
and may cut or sever ties
often permanently.
These days, I get to see different hues...
A hidden secret is the cure
For those who are demure
It might be mine
It may be your
Thirst over lacy gore
When the flesh of a dear
The blade you thrust into my heart
The justice you spared to my heart
The heart that always throbbed for you
Wails loud n' love to be with you.
Oh, the pity you threw down at my feet
They say to chase the dawn,
And leave the past behind,
To let the darkness fade,
And find some peace of mind.
