Ruby - Astari Boedikoentjara
Go back to the ancient age
if you still see us such potential threats
It’s not that we don’t need people
to sometimes save us from trouble
We’re good as can be
You need us and we need you
like humanity needs to stay true
Why do we need to be reminded
by another tragedy that leaves us shattered?
A tremor that shook you all
Last night you appeared
right there in my dream
as real as I refused to see
you smirked at me, it seemed
“I haven’t got you yet,”
Backstabbers are such cowards
They spread lies
but they can’t harm this already broken heart
and I’ve got no more tears left to cry
Say it to my face
Half the sound is faintly barricaded
as I turn to the left
The other half is still safe
as I turn to the right
I fear of slowly losing the ability
All apologies
Set me free
from the same, old miseries
no point in getting angry
but tortured in ‘so-called’ stoicity
Stay awake
Tons of work that always wait
No time to waste
Not many choices anyway
Ask me not
Sssh...
Hear the silence.
Listen.
You may not have before
Too busy talking
delivering demands
a pause
a question for a cause
a bouquet of flowers
a colour represents
a message that says:
“let’s just be friends”
I don’t expect you to see
all the good in me
all that I’d like to be
anything lovely.
I need this
What you choose to believe
will affect how you perceive.
A picture’s worth a thousand words,
or possibly less or more.
There’s more than meets the eye.
The world outside?
It can be chaotic.
God Does What God Likes.
What we break, God May Fix
or Leave Shattered, just like that.
