There’s a thin, fine line
between being lazy
and experiencing lethargy
I feel I’ve been half-awake
Perhaps it’s too much coffee
I won’t promise you
that it won’t rain all the time
but we know it’s true
‘though it takes a while.
It feels like forever
You will know that I love you
even when I don’t say it
not even out loud
or even when I’m still way too proud
That fact, I have to admit
I still own it
He bares his straight, white teeth for a smile
as he greets me with his shy “Hello”,
while I politely nod as I go.
His dark complexion slightly glistens
under the Jakarta morning sun.
She longs for peace
like the soft wind’s breeze
to help her sleep
cast off the creeps
She longs for dreams
I’m enjoying my silence as you fall
I could do the dance and amuse them all
No, I’m staying still
waiting for the news
before going in for the kill
There’s still that hailstorm in my heart
The ice is solid
a perfect, although temporary patch
to fill the holes in its walls
I’m feeling cold
Nobody wins.
Everybody loses.
Stories told,
bought and sold.
Facts versus fiction.
A spiteful little man
started his day with a mean comment
saying women with makeup are stupid
wasting their fortunes on expensive tidbits
A quick way for an attention-seeker
Hello, stranger
I love your smile
like you do my poetry
but why look so troubled?
I was just expressing my vile
What is it with people like you?
You treat everything a competition,
all in the name of public acknowledgment.
You flaunt your fortunes,
clearly fishing for compliments.
The power abuse:
“People should be in order.”
Oh, yeah – have you been their best example(s)?
It’s your stupid, double standard
that makes it really, really hard
