6. Vanishing Traces
The sand slips through my grasp,
As moments fade and fall,
Like whispers on the breeze,
Too soft to hear at all.
Once vivid in my mind,
Now blurring like a dream,
The laughter and the tears,
Are fading like a stream.
Footprints on the shore,
Left by a fleeting tide,
Each wave that comes and goes
Washes a part of pride.
The hands that once held close,
Now feel the quiet space,
And memories, like echoes,
Leave only shadowed trace.
The years mark their passage,
On hearts and faces worn,
Yet still, the moments linger,
Though time has left them torn.
The past is like a fading light,
That flickers then is gone,
Yet in my heart remains the trace
Of all that once shone on.
